Saturday Night Contest - School Supplies

Hey guys, hope you all are enjoying your weekend! Because this week most students are going back to school, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to have a back-to-school themed contest.

The challenge? Create an effect using only items that would be/could be found in a school setting - objects like pens, pencils, notebooks, paperclips, rubberbands, books, scissors, binders, etc. If it can be found in a school setting, it is fair game for this contest.

Film your created effect and upload it to either YouTube, Vimeo, or Instagram. Post the link to your video in response to THIS forum thread by no later than 11:00pm EST tomorrow, Sunday, August 14th. Once time is up, our panel of judges will go through all entries and decide on a winner. Winner will be selected based on creativity, originality, and execution. Make sure your effect is polished before filming; we don't want any flashes! Also, videos that are uploaded prior to the posting of this contest are not permitted - new videos only!

What will the winner receive? 1,000 Elite Member Points and a deck of ultra-rare Gold Monarchs! We can't wait to see what you guys come up with. Good luck!

Is a deck of cards fair game Casey. You can probably find a deck of cards in some students locker so can I use a deck, I know it's not the most original item but yeah??

Would not recommend cards this week; when I was in school I never knew anyone other than me who had a deck of cards with them, as playing cards aren't really "allowed" in schools.

Good luck to all! Also, I don't know if my school is an exception, but at my high school, counting me, there are six people interested in magic, and usually, there are at least three decks of cards around. For me, the staff are interested in the magic, and thus, playing cards are widely accepted. Luckily, they are not banned, and have become commonplace items.

That's awesome! Sadly, no cards this week. Just want to keep it focused on school-related items only.

Here is my submission. I chose to go with cue cards as my school supply, as well as the student's imagination :p Hope you enjoy it, and good luck to everyone!
