theory11 — Magic Tricks & the World's Finest Playing Cards

Saturday Night Roundtable - James Dickson

1) Do you have any suggestions to beginner magicians trying to grow and become better?

2) What other tricks are you planning to release names of tricks/what it will be about?

3) When you first started magic, what was your inspiration to grow and become the best you can be.

1: Did you ever stop (take a break) from magic at any point?
2: Why did you choose to sell this effect?
3: How often do you create your own magic which is good enough to sell and what is the thought process behind it?

1. Of course the Gypsy thread plot is a classic in magic, but why is it important to you?
2. Do you adjust the typical patter that most use when performing the Gypsy thread, or is it one of those silent visual performances for you?
3. What else do you have in the works for the future, whether it's magic or something else?

1) Gypsy Thread was the first trick that made me want to branch out of card magic. Assuming that you began with card magic like most magicians do, what trick made you branch out into different areas of the art?

2) What is your favorite way of presenting the torn and restored plot? Exposition, story, silently, or some other way?

3) What advice would offer to magicians who are attempting to create new methods to old tricks?

1) When you began magic, what inspired you to continue practicing and performing, even when it seemed like you weren't getting noticed or acknowledged?
2) Where did you first begin your journey through the world of magic?
3) How do you begin creating a new effect, or a variation on a different effect?
