Saying Good-bye To Jason Scott...

Hello Everyone,

I just thought I would write to let you all know that my very good friend and Master Mentalist, Jason Scott, recently passed away at his Las Vegas, Nevada home.

Jason was one of the greatest performers I have ever seen and he was my inspiration in perfroming my own magic. I was always amazed at some of the tricks he performed and I loved to watch as he FREAKED people out!

There are some videos of Jason posted on YouTube and he has his own website, www.whatdidijustsee.com, for those interested.

Family and friends will be gathering tomorrow night at the Palms Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas to celebrate Jason and his life.

Jason was a good friend and I will miss him...

It sounds like he was an brilliant performer, I will take a look at his videos.

Its sad that he died because he was a rising star. At only an age of 33years...
Man that was sad to read.
Im sorry for the loss, and my regards to the family. I myselfe am a Mentalist and the loss of a fellow Mentalist is like a loss of a brother.

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to those of you who responded to this thread.

For those of you who will never have the opportunity to know Jason let me tell you that you definately missed out. Not only was Jason a great performer, but a great person as well. All of us that had the opportunity to know him will miss him greatly...

Someone asked if we know what Jason died from and the answer is no not for sure. It is believed that Jason was having trouble sleeping and that he mixed several prescription sleeping pills. Jason passed away at home in his sleep...

This situation has hit me really hard because another friend, Lawrence Ryan, recently passed away as well. His story was recently aired on A&E's Intervention...

Lawrence, however, was a drug addict and alcoholic. Lawrence's situation is a little different though. He wasn't the typical addict you all may be picturing in your mind. Lawrence was a certified genius. He grew up attending special schools for mentally gifted children. He built a multi-million dollar business, Neon Sun, from the ground up. His problem was he let the money get to his head.

Lawrence dove deep into the Vegas party scene. He thought his money could buy him anything. When he got into the drugs it wasn't just casual use. It was far beyond excess... In the end he Lawrence was drinking over a liter of vodka a day. Lawrence died in his home this past February after his liver exploded from the alcohol... Talk about a waste...

Both Jason and Lawrence will be missed...
