Sleights or Tricks

Hello, all. I've got another question for everyone. What do you practice more: sleights or the actual tricks themselves? I find i practice sleights a lot more figuring when I get to them in the trick I'll be more prepared. Is this the wrong attitude? Should I be practicing the sleights within the context of the trick more? Is one more beneficial than the other with regards to improvement? I'm just trying to learn to practice smarter instead of harder.

Thanks.

i tend to practice them at the same time, yet it depends on the person, no i dont think its the wrong attitude, your jus preparing urself to get the move invisible, but as for me i do the sleight and the trick together, instead of individualy because it helps me with timing, misdirection, an also making it invisible. This way it looks more natural....hope this helps!

Really depends on the sleight and the trick. For example passes double lifts etc are great to practice just whenever you want. However, if a trick requires say 2 Elmsely counts and one Jordan count I feel it would be better to practice as a whole as you need to have a smooth flow through out the effect and you cannot freeze and think which count needs to be done next. So utility sleights can be practiced on their own where as sleights you use in few routine's should be done in the whole context. But these are just my two cents.
