So when it comes to summer me and my cousen are planning to make a street magic series of videos... He will film me performing and I will post it on the internet. Ive been woundering how many tricks should I need for a 20 minute video? So far I plan on doing:

Cross Arm twist
Digital Dissolve
Double lift change in their hands
Card to mouth
Ladies Looking glass variation
2 Card Transpo
Card 'Mind read'

I want some other effects that dont involve cards maybe just 1 more...
Any reccomendatons? Please nothing to expensive. Or is this enough?
Thanks anyway :)

I would suggest cutting that list to maybe half. It's better to have about 3 or 4 tricks taking 8 minutes than having 7 or 8 tricks in that allotted time. You need to build up a story and a great presentation to make their reactions the best. A 1 minute performance isn't going to do it. You may get a "That was pretty cool," but if you want "oh my god!" reactions than practice building up a story that would make sense and really builds up the effect.

Cheers,

Casey

Ok lets say this is now a 20 minute video then... Restart :)

I'm trying to give you advice and you're not taking it seriously. Just apply what I said in my first post and work it out for yourself if you aren't going to listen to me.

I don't think he's saying that he's going to do all those tricks for one person.

Just do 2-3 or maybe even 4 tricks to each group, but use his advice! Then edit them together.

Your going to need to plan. For 40 minutes if you plan to film 20. Trust me.

At least.

Probably film over a few days too, it'll make things easier. Go out and perform the same 3-5 tricks over and over to different audiences and then a different set of tricks after a few days. Feel free to improvise, but a good 20 minute video that has very little dead air will take minimum 40 minutes of video, you should shoot for an hours worth of filming though.
