Street performing

Hi I like to perform on the street and i mean by getting a crowd not going up to people and asking "hey do you want to see a trick"
I do the linking rings, some rope tricks and the cups and balls.I need advise on how to get a crowd like having people come up to me and say hey what is that kid doing. (almost like gazzo)
I am 12 and i usually get a good crowd but it isn't working i am getting about $20 a show.


I also need some good hat lines i usually say "please contribute to my college fund" and point at the hat.

Ask the crowd if they know what the greatest nation in the world is, pause for a second or 2 and say "Do-nation." Point at the hat, or have a parent get a 'Donation' iron on sticker and put it on at hat for you.

As far as getting a crowd to gather around you, if you usually perform at a specific location maybe make a few flyer's and you and your folks can post them around in your area.

Word of mouth goes further than you think.

This is busking, not street magic. Get some books or DVDs specific to busking such as The Royal Touch, Tales From The Streets, or To Lure With Spectacle.

It's a unique venue with unique demands. You would be well served to learn from those with experience in the field
