I have small fingers, im looking for a thumb-type swami gimmick. Where would be best to find one?

The nearest magic shop is about 2-3 hours away by train. So im opting for buying it online at the moment.

Well, the boon writer is probably what you want. Fairly small and easy to hide and if you want to go the extra mile the super sharpie is pretty much a boon but much much better overall.

Ellusionist sells the boon.

The super sharpie is very good - I got one a couple of years ago and while I don't use it alot, it's much better than most swami's I've used.

What's a super sharpie? im thinking of that sharpie with the reveal on it, but im positive that that aint what were talking about.

The ones that I have bought have all been the same size. I believe, i might be wrong on this, that all nail writers are the relatively the same size.

ive seen a couple of photos- they arent very much camoflaged now are they? or is it just the ones that i saw?

There is a big section in 13 steps about the colour of the gimmick. I'll sum it up for you. The colour does not matter. the only reason to paint it flesh color is for you to feel better about using it.
