The Buck Twins travel all the way from Los Angeles, California to the Sorcerers Safari Summer Magic Camp in Ontario, Canada. (Dan and Dave come for the kids, but stay for the magic; "Absolutely awesome," say Sorcerers Safari staffers.)
Toronto, Ontario. - May 21st, 2010 EST - Amidst rampant magic forum speculation, Sorcerers Safari Summer Magic Camp announced it is bringing in the dynamic card duo Dan and Dave Buck as the special guests at Magic Camp this summer.
With several best selling DVDs, their own series of playing cards and a ton of great
unpublished ideas - Dan and Dave Buck have lots to offer the campers. The Bucks have already taught Tivo 2.0, The Leno Cut, everything on the SYSTEM DVD and TRILOGY DVDs which have received international acclaim so imagine what it would be like to spend a camp session with these two.
The inspiration for asking the Buck Twins to spend time at magic camp, recalled Lee Asher, ten-year veteran of Sorcerers Safari, "They simply love magic and would be a perfect fit for camp and the kids," Asher said. "And there is no better way to spend time immersed in the art of magic than with TWO of your heroes. Who doesn't like Dan and Dave? They are great!"
The idea of having online personalities as special guests at camp is always one of the hot debates at the annual executive staff meetings. (Sorcerers Safari Summer Magic Camp chooses only the best of the best to come up as special guest.) After unanimously agreeing Dan and Dave Buck were a perfect fit, we asked and they gladly accepted.
"The Buck Twins are going to have a great time up here, and so are all the campers and staff. Imagine all of the experiences they can recount about performing on the show Lazy Town, filming the SYSTEM DVD with Chris Kenner, launching DanandDave.com, running MAGIC-CON and the rest of the legendary things they've done," said Sorcerers Safari Magic Camp founder and president, Magic Mike Segal. "This is going to be our fourteenth year in operation, and I can't remember a time when everyone was so excited about special guests
like the Buck Twins."
Segal adds, "I met Dan and Dave very early in their careers and it's now nice to see them blossom into a powerful, artistic force. Having them at camp is a win-win for everyone. We welcome them to our camp family with open arms. Having Dan and Dave is like having two little brothers come up for the week. I love it!"
Last week at magic camp's open house, a handful of campers and staff had the opportunity to watch last year's camp DVD as well as hear about our special guests for 2010. Unlike other special guest declarations, when Dan and Dave Buck's names were announced, the room broke into loud applause and cheers. It's going to be the best year of camp, ever!
According to Segal, Sorcerers Safari is growing exponentially with a high rate of return campers and return staff. With luck, the Buck Twins will love camp so much, they too, will return repeatedly.
