Yes you can borrow the card you rip up from somebody but it's recommended in the video how you handle this and why.
Sorry I may have misunderstood. As DeeChristopher has said, you can only do this if you have the TnR gimmick on you and the deck you're using is of the same style. But you could borrow it I guess... It's probably best to say no to this one actually.

The card it changes to at the end can only really be a picture/court card, but theoretically you could apply it to however you want. NOTE: This is not explored in the video, do not expect this please. If you want it to be any other card than a court card you will need to think entirely on your own

The card after you're finished can be examined after you're done. But not immediately afterwards. This is pretty heavily gimmicked and you have to note that this is a complete routine, not just a standard "Here's a card, I tear it up and restore it again." it's a full Torn and Restored routine.

I think this is why a lot of people didn't like it. Because it was different from other Torn and Restored handlings that they've seen. TnR is a full routine from beginning to end. YES you can just do the Torn and Restored if you want to but this is not explained in the video. The video goes through the routine as a whole and offers no alternatives.

Just want to make sure you're clear. :) I highly recommend buying this though, it truly is an astounding effect to see not only during the restoration process but with the change too.

P.S. You can do this signed, but again you have to integrate it as part of the routine. If you end up buying this and want to know how to do it signed, shoot me a PM. :)
