We are planning a large magic convention and competition. The main performer will be Wayne Houchin and a few other big names, and we need your help to get this going! It's called the Southwest Smoke and Mirrors: Magic Convention and Competition.
Here's how you can help us:
We have just lowered our ticket prices for early booking to $30 per attendee (Much cheaper than most conventions) and $50 for a competitor (Which will have a chance to win $500 for each of three categories: Stage, Street, and Closeup.) Also we are selling compilation DVDs of all of the competitions starting at $10 each.
The funding is going through a website called kickstarter.com which is owned and operated by amazon.com. So it's trustworthy. The way it works is that anyone who would like one of the rewards (dvds, tickets, etc) Would pledge the amount for the reward. Now just because you are pledging, doesn't mean you will get charged. So if you support it, PLEDGE TONIGHT! You will ONLY be charged at the end of the funding (Sept 22nd) and IF we meet our goal. Hypothetically, if we don't reach our goal, NOBODY will get charged.
We need your support because if we can't raise our goal, we will have to cancel our convention. I'm currently paying for everything out of pocket to pay for everything and I would love to make this happen. Se please help us in anyway you can. If you can't make it, pledge for a dvd just to show your support and tell everyone you know about this as well. Also, please reply any questions also to keep people with the thread.
