Webcam videos and uploading...

Hey all,

I recently bought a webcam so that I could chat with my younger sister who is studying abroad in Peru. I recorded a video and tried to upload it Vimeo. It uploaded fine, but when trying to watch it, the sound is perfect but the actualy video is messed up. It changes the picture of the video every second or so instead of flowing like a video should (hope that made sense). Does anyone have that problem? Or a way to fix it? Thanks for your help.

Well, I'm not sure but the problem may be caused by your camera. If you still have the box or the manual look inside and check how many frames per second (FPS) your camera records with. If it says 1 frame per second go buy another camera. I think my webcam records with 5-7 FPS. I'm not sure. Anyway, the normal Frame per Second ratio for a camera (not a webcam) is 30 FPS. So try to find a webcam as close to 30 FPS as possible or higher. But they might be very expensive. I hope this helped.
