I was raised in the small town of Melcher-Dallas, Iowa. I have been doing magic since I was about 8 or 9. I never showed my magic off until i was in junior high. And even then it was just a weird "hobby", until 2003 when i got my first gig doing restaurant/bar magic. Before that, I had really only used my skills to try to impress a girl on a date or to cheat some guys at college out of their cash on poker night. (Sorry Josh and Jeff.) lol. I am an author and a musician, but my real passion is for magic. I have been doing magic for so long that I can probably do The Ambitious Card in my sleep. lol. My favorite modern magician is Wayne Houchin. He has yet to release a trick that didn't impress me.
