Like many other people, I started off just doing magic. I learned a few flourishes, but I wasn't really into it that much. What really got me into it was watching some cardistry videos on youtube, it just looked so good and I wanted to be able to do it so I began to learn more cardistry.

I stumbled upon a deck of cards in my house, and just began learning some basic self working tricks from youtube :)

I start off with something basic, and then try to do the opposite of what everybody else does. What I mean by that is, for example, I would do a basic flourish, and where you would need to turn your hand right, I would turn left and see where I could go from there instead. The same goes for magic, I try doing the opposite of what is normally done.
