Case Dixon
Mccalla, AlabamaHi, my name is Case, I'm a magician from Alabama. I was always interested in magic, even at a very young age. When I turned eight I had a magician come to my birthday party. The following Christmas I got a magic set, but I never took the time to learn any of the tricks, and the magic set was eventually forgotten. I remember at about nine years old I saw the David Blaine special "Dive of Death". I wanted to learn magic tricks, but I didn't know where to start, so I never learned any, but the passion for magic was never lost. Then one day, years later, my parents stopped paying for cable television. I was so bored, so I randomly decided to look up magic tricks on YouTube. I was hooked from that day forward! How did you first get started in cardistry?
I saw a video from Calen Morelli's YouTube channel with Chase Duncan in it, doing some crazy things with cards I came to know as flourishes. I later bought the Molecule cut by Dan and Dave, and I have been dabbling in Cardisry ever since.
Which artists have inspired you the most in your work thus far?
Daniel Madison, Dave Buck, Dan Buck, and Ladislas Toubart.
What advice would you give to new performers just starting today?
LEARN THE BASICS!!
If you could have dinner with any magician, past or present, who would that be and why?
It would be Bizarro, because when it would be time for dessert, we would never run out of oreos! LOL!!!
