Dean M
Flagstaff, ArizonaI was first introduced to magic by my grandfather, who was a major influence in my life. At the young age of 7 I began practicing magic for friends and family.
What started as an entertaining hobby soon blossomed into a true passion for the art of magic. Now I'm in my 20's and living in Flagstaff, AZ. I continue my study of prestidigitation and you'll often find me at the bars in Historic Downtown or occasionally in Vegas sharing magic with anyone who will participate.
Favorite Texts:
- "Now You See It Now You Don't" by Bill Tarr (My first book given to me by my grandfather)
- "The Royal Road to Card Magic" by Hugard & Braue (Should be on every card man's shelf)
- "Sleight of Hand" by Edwin Sachs (An old and arduous read, but very interesting)
- "A Sidewalk Performers Study Guide" by Jimmy Talksalot (An invaluable guide to busking)
How did you first get started in magic?
My grandfather first showed me a classic sleight when I was 7, I still use that sleight to this day 14 years later. With the books and teachings he imparted, a hobby has blossomed into a true passion for the art.
