This flourish came about as an "accident" from experimenting with the skater cut display/flourish in late 2012. Since then, I have played around and experimented with this skater cut variation to create what it is today.
This tutorial is taught from several angles including an over the shoulder view and a front view. I believe this creates an excellent learning experience because you get to see the entire flourish from a much wider perspective. That being said, this flourish will still be quite difficult to master but I believe it is well worth the time and effort.

It's quite difficult, but overall one of my favorite flourishes to do. But I don't recommend this flourish for beginners. With a price of 99 cents, it's a must have!

United States • May 24th, 2013This is an amazing flourish. It is definitely a conversation starter. I usually walk around and do this flourish and I get people waling up to me interested in what I am doing so in a way this flourish does the whole approaching a stranger thing for you. I will add that the tutorial is not voiced and doesn't go into every different slight detail. It is definitely not for beginners. It is for people who are either willing to take a challenge or who have a pretty good library already built up and have knowledge of a few things about flourishes. Overall, this is a great trick. The hard difficulty is really true though.

The move is just a knacky as the original skater cut but the effort is worth it. Another great job on Derek's part, definitely be on the look out for more.
