Port Washington, NyHow did you first get started in magic?
I bought a few little cheap magic sets as a little kid, just like everyone does, but I never stopped after that. Now I buy my magic on various online sites and at Fantasma Magic in NYC.
What vision do you see for the future of cardistry?
I'm not very into cardistry, but of what I've seen, it's very cool and I hope that I can learn some. Hopefully, the art of cardistry will have a bright future in front of it.
If you could have dinner with any magician, past or present, who would that be and why?
That's a no brainer. I would choose Penn and Teller. I've loved them since i was 7 years old. Their work really inspires and intrigues me. Whenever I can't think of a trick, or I'm having trouble learning a trick, I'll watch a Penn and Teller video for some inspiration.
What advice would you give to new performers just starting today?
Keep practicing. Never give up. If you can't seem to figure out a trick, be relentless and keep trying. And practice in front of a mirror, or film yourself and watch it. Always have fun.
