However, I feel that the magic is more important. I want to sell magic here on Theory11 to contribute to the magic community and support my hobby with some of the money I make.
How often do you practice - how do you keep your skills (and mind) sharp?
I have a deck of cards in my hands whenever I'm not doing anything else. I'm always experimenting with new moves, ideas, or expanding on someone else's, move, gimmick, or trick. I bring cards with me wherever I go.
If you could have dinner with any magician, past or present, who would that be and why?
I would have dinner with Calen Morelli. He is changing magic for the better, making magic more modern, he is changing that cheesy pull a rabbit out of a hat type of view people have of magicians. He is extremely creative.
Which artists have inspired you the most in your work thus far?
Calen Morelli, Rick Lax, Justin Flom, Jarek 1:20 (Evan Cloyd) and many more magicians have inspired my work so far.
What is your creative process - how do you come up with new effects and ideas?
I learn an effect, try to improve it whether it be the gimmick or method. Believe it or not, sometimes I'll get a completely different effect! Other times I'll just wonder how i could do something impossible, something that has never been done before. I usually try to create a method with no gimmicks. However, if that doesn't work out I might design a gimmick. I have a couple of tricks/sleights/flourishes that I hope to release in the future here on the wire!
