Mchenry, IllinoisHi, I'm Jon! I like cards.
How did you first get started in magic?
When I was a we little lad around the age of 5 I was marveled at my older brothers ability to "read my mind" No matter when I said stop! He knew the card 0_0 Little did I know he was forcing it...... Anyway! I then learned simple little mathematical tricks along with self working ones, after about a year I got bored with such simple things and the desire to amaze died away. Then! When I was 15 my older cousin should me a trick that with a pass and I lost my mind! I needed to know how it was done! So I searched the youtoobs (YouTube*) and landed on 52 Kards channel I couldn't stop myself from learning! I WAS ADDICTED! So now I am one year in about $1,000 invested and in LOVE! Now I want to create my own moves and I wanna learn flourishes
Which artists have inspired you the most in your work thus far?
Thus far I've gotta say Jay Sankey, Asad Chaudhry, Zach Mueller.
How often do you practice - how do you keep your skills (and mind) sharp?
I practice just about every second I can... Honestly I always have a deck on me, and if I don't I feel like I am missing something. I have always practicing what ever move I am working on, all the time XD I set aside about 30 minutes a day to sit in front of a mirror and just make sure my angles are all okay.
What is your creative process - how do you come up with new effects and ideas?
To be honest. I just play with a deck as it says here ^^^ l l l So a lot of the time I'll mess something up and it'll look good and I'll be like hmph.I like that! and then run with it till I find a move or effect I really like.
