Never stop pushing your own limits, and make your dreams come true.

How did you first get started in magic?

I saw Michael Close perform his card warp effect at Illusions when I was 12. After he wouldn't tell me how he did his effect, I went home and created my variation of that trick.

What advice would you give to new performers just starting today?

Never stop creating magic. Ever. Don't just download or buy a DVD and copy exactly what you see them doing, being original will treat you better.

What is your creative process - how do you come up with new effects and ideas?

My creative process depends on the task at hand. Real life, dreams, music, and nature really inspire me. If I see something that I think that it would be amazing to do (x) with then I won't stop until I have about 4 or 5 different methods of doing it. The magic I create I aim to provoke emotions. I find what connects best with people and try and trailer the magic to them. If I can make it matter, then it becomes more than an effect, but a moment. I find the extraordinary moments in life and do whatever it takes to share them with people.

How often do you practice - how do you keep your skills (and mind) sharp?

More than I can count. I try and practice my script and routines 3 hours a day. I listen to the music in my show over and over again so that every beat is down to a T.
