Too amateurish for practical use. Why bother worrying about angles when there are easier ways to do the exact same thing that don't require careful crowd control (see "Zero Control" by Winson Lee which is also available free on theory11 and no, I have no connection to Mr. Lee)? Also, the move of partially lifting the back card is awkward and, again, there are easier ways of controlling a card. Finally, the use of finger snapping in the video is old, tired, and cliched. No one on earth believes magic happens when you snap your fingers. Yes, I know you don't have to do that in your own performances, but this does symbolize the lack of polish in this move.

Very very clever. A move well within the grasp of any thinking magician. Something I will definitely use. Nicely done.

Newfoundland Labrador, Canada • Jun 10th, 2018

Five out of Five stars. This move is deceptive, and is a great progression to learn after the Marlo's tilt.

Colombo, Western Province • Feb 13th, 2018

I agree with Dominik below. As long as you're engaging, it works like a charm. It's no more angle sensitive than the Marlo tilt, which is a control that can be used successfully with a crowd all the time. Great control, love the idea!

Reno, Nevada • Feb 16th, 2017

Good ambitious trick, however it's angle sensitive.

San Juan, National Capital Region • Dec 31st, 2016

I really like this move, but it is really angle sensitive. The teaching is outstanding though.

London • Dec 20th, 2016

Honestly, everyone is complaining about the angles and that it wouldn't be a good thing to perform live. With enough crowd control, and if you keep their attention where it needs to be, I see no problem with it. This is a great trick and it is free. This is honestly an amazing idea. If you are worried about your angles for this, then I don't think you should really perform anything live. Just keep control of your audience and they won't see anything.

USA • Apr 9th, 2014

Great job, it's just pretty angle sensitive.

Las Vegas • Jun 7th, 2013

The idea is good, but the angle is too sensitive for a real audience. This trick is good for an ambitious card routine for the camera.

France • May 24th, 2013

It's an okay control, quite angle sensitive but the effect looks good because of the one card pull.

China • May 15th, 2013

The only way to really make this work would be to face the deck directly at the audience, which is extremely awkward and impractical. Nice idea, but I would use something that makes more sense that I can really pull off.

Maryland • May 14th, 2013

I really like this idea, but it is really angle sensitive. The teaching is good though.

USA • Apr 8th, 2013

It's okay. It's way to angle sensitive, but it's good to do when your using a camera. I wouldn't use this with a real audience.

Australia • Mar 21st, 2013

Too angle sensitive for my taste. It looks so much better on camera than in real life.

Norway • Mar 20th, 2013

I don't like it at all. It is just too angle sensitive! It is so impractical, you wouldn't really be able to do this in public. This really only works to one angle. Although it's free, I wouldn't bother.

Australia • Mar 1st, 2013

I think this control as a piece to camera looks good, but as a control I am never going to use it. The method is not practical at all and it is really angle sensitive. It is literally impossible to perform in any environment ... and I am sure everyone on this page who has reviewed this trick has a control they use all the time so why use this one when you can just use your personal favorite. If you were to perform a double undercut, you have a control that is 10 times stronger and more practical.

United Kingdom • Feb 20th, 2013

I think this is a great sleight you can use on a day to day basis and even though it's a little bit angle sensitive - it can still pack a punch.

Tobon • Jan 20th, 2013

A very deceptive control, however a bit angle sensitive.

USA • Dec 31st, 2012

Not bad! Its just like another move often used in an ACR which i use all the time. The angles for Charge are tricky. I like this move for the simple fact that its another method to pump up your Ambitions Card Routine. Plus the price is perfect !!! Not bad, not bad at all.

Orlando, Fl • Dec 17th, 2012

Nice method for ambitious card, though not very practical as a control as it doesn't get it completely to the top. Very good otherwise. The actual explanation assumes a fair amount of experience and is fairly vague. When played through a couple of times, it is fairly simple to master.

Bristol, England • Dec 13th, 2012

It's good but a bit angle sensitive. I would only use this in a video.

Philippines • Dec 12th, 2012

For what it is, it's alright. But with extremely limited angles, you'll probably never use it.

U.K. • Dec 10th, 2012

Why all the negative comments. Sure, it's angle sensitive, but so are some of the best tricks in the world. I think it is a great move and gives you more ideas and knowledge using the tilt. Well done, Kane.

Australia • Dec 9th, 2012

This is a waste of time. There is only one angle you can perform this at and that is the one filmed. In no situation would a spectator be right above you so it's just magic for youtube. It's obvious that Kane has never worked this in the real world because they would see it easily. There are TONS of other controls that are 1,000 times better. Don't waste your time.

Colorado • Nov 23rd, 2012

Very nice control. Looks very good. Like all sleights you use them when the situation can handle it. Those of you that are complaining that it is angle sensitive probably don't perform magic or not very often. You don't use a sleight in every situation unless it is appropriate. Tilt is angle sensitive too but there are methods of making it angle proof. This one you would use when you're not surrounded or you can just make a body turn when you need to obscure a side for moment to hide the dirty work. You learn these things when you perform a lot. Practice. Practice. Practice. And perform. This a great utility that will have real world use I believe. Only time and performance will tell. Great job Kane.

Davenport, Iowa • Nov 23rd, 2012

Kind of angle sensitive, but still awesome. It's going right into my Ambitious Card.

California • Nov 21st, 2012

Very nice control. However, it is not very realistic to use this control in actual performances for actual people as the angles are simply much too sensitive. No complaints as it is a free product. Good idea overall. Download it now!

Singapore • Nov 14th, 2012

Very deceptive control - fooled me in the preview! However, I wouldn't use this in public due to the angle sensitivity but I'm sure this idea can be worked on and adapted to become a very versatile control. AND IT'S FREE!

England • Nov 5th, 2012

This is a great variation on the Mario Tilt. It looks really convincing and is great to perform. Those of whom are complaining about the angle sensitivity shouldn't, as it is free. It is up to you to experiment with it!

England • Nov 3rd, 2012

This is bad! Don't waste your time to download it!

Australia • Nov 2nd, 2012

This is a really great idea! :D

Denmark • Nov 2nd, 2012

This isn't good at all. I downloaded it straight after seeing the trailer, but then realized you can only perform it from a birds eye view. Not a great download. Sorry Kane.

England • Oct 26th, 2012

The people who are saying that it is angle sensitive haven't actually tried it in the mirror. There are ways to make it work surrounded, however the creator unforunatley hasn't explored the idea. It is a good concept.

Australia • Oct 26th, 2012

I love the technique but its VERY angle sensitive and can be kind of awkward feeling. It looks very smooth which is something I appreciate a lot.

Miami • Oct 25th, 2012

Loved. Took a lot of work, a couple of delicate moves, but well worth it.

Chicago, IL • Oct 23rd, 2012

Really cool control but way too angle sensitive.

Stillwater OK • Oct 22nd, 2012

It is an amazing card control which is a fantastic and better way of doing the Marlo Tilt. Really cool and not TOO angle sensitive, nice job and such a brilliant price. I love all the content Kane puts out outside The Wire also.

UK • Oct 22nd, 2012

Wow! :) I really enjoy this! It fooled me so many times. I tried to figure it out before I watched the download and I just couldn't! Great work!

USA • Oct 22nd, 2012

What a good control and its free, lol! Grab it! ^.^

Canada • Oct 22nd, 2012

Clever, but too obvious from almost every angle except the one shown in the video, and from what you see.

X • Oct 21st, 2012

Way too angle-intensive.

California • Oct 21st, 2012

It's pretty good, but a review shouldn't matter. It's free so get it, and decide for yourself.

BC canada • Oct 21st, 2012

So this idea is good, but the trailer is not what he explains in the explanation. I gave it 3 stars because it is good but I would have given it a 5 if the trailer was what he explained.

San Marcos, CA • Oct 21st, 2012

This is creative. It fooled me completely!

Canada • Oct 21st, 2012

Simple yet very deceptive.

London • Oct 21st, 2012

I sat here watching the trailer trying to figure it out for a good 20 mins! Then I decided to look at the price and saw that it was free! Amazing control!

Morgan Hill, CA • Oct 21st, 2012

AMAZING, but takes a bit of practice. However, it's FREE so I recommend getting it!

Australia • Oct 21st, 2012

This truly is an outstanding control. I think Kane Ballard really made a come back with this one and it's free! Great work!

Denver, CO • Oct 20th, 2012

Pretty decent, but to me a Marlo Tilt or Bluff Pass is better. Worth it if you like the look of it. Oh yeah and it's free so check the method - it's pretty creative.

Denmark • Oct 20th, 2012

A really nice control, but unfortunately the performance doesn't actually show the exact control taught. I suspect that in the performance a one way force deck is used, as the control isn't performed as it is in the tutorial. If you download the tutorial (which in itself is fairly good) then re-watch the performance, you will see what I mean.

York • Oct 20th, 2012

I was 100% blown away by the trailer. I thought if this was ungimmicked, it would be a miracle. This truly is an original, deceptive card control, but it can only be done straight under the spectator's vision (the view in the demo). However, it is a spectacular idea. Download it now!

OH • Oct 20th, 2012

This is actually pretty good. However from his way, it seems like it's very angle sensitive and only can be done top view however it is quite easy to make it better angle sensitive. But overall, it's very clean and a nice control that is practical.

Austrailia • Oct 20th, 2012

Damn, that is pretty clever.

Gainesville, FL • Oct 20th, 2012

Great trick! It's a very clever concept.

USA • Oct 20th, 2012

PRETTY CLEVER. KUDOS!

QUEENS NY • Oct 19th, 2012

I have not downloaded this yet, but if this control is really as good as it looks, then it should cost at least $5. Looks too good to be true! Well done. :)

Canada • Oct 19th, 2012

Great easy effect with no dubs and no DLs. Great trick, it's free so get it.
