Goonellabah, AuHi! My name is Levi. I am 19 and began doing magic one year ago, I also picked up cardistry along the way and I like to have a healthy balance of the two.
I aspire to join the ranks of the top pros before the end of my life, and aim to take a FISM title at least once. I do magic because I like to inspire people and show that the impossible is never impossible, you just have to think outside the box to achieve it.
I plan on releasing magic and flourishes on a regular basis. (that being more than once a year XD)
Which artists have inspired you the most in your work thus far?
I've been inspired by multitudes of Magicians, so many magicians, from so many countries. But I believe I owe a lot to Jibrizy Taylor, Justin Flom, Edohuang, Piff and Shin Lim.
All five have inspired me to create in different ways and work hard.
How did you first get started in cardistry?
I've only been doing it for a short time, but have quickly fallen in love with it because I saw Chris Ramsey, Shin Lim and Edohuang doing it. And I just thougt "THAT LOOKS SICK!!" So I began doing it.
And thus far I have begun creating my own flourishes.
How often do you practice - how do you keep your skills (and mind) sharp?
I practice both magic and Cardistry at least 6 hours a day, and more subconsciously when I am playing with cards or objects,. My hands NEVER stop moving, that is something I developed when I started magic and Cardistry.
I have been doing magic as a hobby since 2013, but I took it seriously as a career path since 2015 ( so that is when I like to class as when I began doing magic)
