Hey! Wow, so I'm finally here... Theory 11, It's been a long road.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Richard Edgell and I've been practicing the art of magic for near on 10 years now. In the past decade I've been fortunate enough to meet and also lucky enough to work with some amazing magician from all over the world.

Previous credits include: Prod unction assistant and editor for 'Aurora' for Big blind media / creator of 'Ascension', as featured onot Justin Millers original BOLD project. / Consultant to Bora Kennedy for many effects, but BLUR being the main one. / Held a one year residency at Komedia Comedy Club in Bath UK / performed at the magic circle in London / Performed on numerous occasions at illusions magic bar in Bristol UK

At the start of 2014 I published my Sofa Sessions, episodes 1-4 to great review. The sofa sessions are a collection of videos teaching my colour changes, controls and cardistry moves. These were published through my own production and publishing company, AlchemyInc.

At Theory 11, I hope to bring something new, vibrant and exciting to the magic community. I hope to continue to receive your support and I look forward to hearing fromore lots and lots of new people.

Much love to you all.

How did you first get started in magic?

I first got into magic after watching a street magic special David Blaine did... and I saw the 'Snap Change'. I spent about 3 months with two playing cards in my hand trying to figure it out.... as soon as I did, I was hooked. my first instructional material was bought from Davenports magic shop in London, it was Justin Millers 'army of 52', bought with the Ghost Gaff deck, and the addiction continued from there.

Which artists have inspired you the most in your work thus far?

Andrei Jikh.... A fellow lefty. Justin Miller.... For all of his words of wisdom to me over the past few years. Scott Thomson.... English underground card is try expert. Working with him made me push myself more. Wayne Houchin Daniel Garcia David Copperfield.

What is your creative process - how do you come up with new effects and ideas?

SoMe thing completely new is a very very rare thing. I look at finding better ways of doing things....For me. These ways are not necessarily the best ways of doing card sleights, but I find themyself interesting. I look at a move in magic and try to find a way to refine it.

Full routines in magic are not my thing. Although I perform magic, I make sure I come across to my audience not as a magician, but as a card mechanic. That weird boyster who practices for hours and hours and weeks and weeks for no one to see his moves!
