I honestly don't know why the hate for this trick. It's a really good and clever trick and the best thing is: it is the best impromptu ACAAN trick I know. It fools anyone and I use it all the time. The only thing you need to know before you buy this product is that the card is not thought of but chosen (not forced!) and not controlled.

I knew that this would be a bad product even before I bought it. When I saw the other reviews, it really made it look like this product is amazing. Well, the spectator can't name any number they want. The number needs to be somewhere close to their card.

I agree, this effect is one of the best ACAAN tricks. It's really not that hard, you just have to be a bit more than a beginner to perform this effect. It needs some sleight of hand, but don't worry, you won't need big hands. So overall this is an amazing effect. It will fool everyone!

The first place I ever read about an ACAAN routine was in Mnemonica. It is still today my favorite but this is so deceptive and easy. This is a go to if I don't have the stack set up!! Love it!!

Great trick! The method is simple, but effective. The method requires no difficult "moves." The difficulty comes from the multi-tasking required to accomplish the effect.

After watching the performance I was disappointed because of the method. Even though it's not that hard, I think there are much easier ways to approach the same effect.

This is a great ACAAN routine! It really isn't that hard to execute. I love the simplicity of the method and the way it hits hard to any spectator, like all ACAAN do. Rick Lax explains the method very well, and he also goes over all the little details to really make the routine magical. I strongly recommend this effect to all those who love the ACAAN routine.

Don’t let the difficulty rating deter you from buying this trick. It is actually a very easy card routine to perform as it doesn’t require any difficult sleights or card skills. However, like the description mentions, there is some verbal misdirection and timing that requires you to practice this in front of a live audience. But here’s the thing about that.. You aren’t using misdirection to hide a sleight or sneaky move, and there isn’t any heat on you because the spectators are not aware of what you are doing!

CAAN Routines always play big! I know when I perform a CAAN effect the audience always wants to see it again. Because of this, I find it useful to have multiple CAAN effects in my repertoire. Fortuity plays so much bigger than any of my other CAAN effects because the magic happens in the spectator's hands. I look forward to it anchoring my CAAN routine.

I already gave this one review but after road testing it, I have another to give. This is easily THE BEST ACAAN routine I've ever known. It has fooled EVERYONE I've showed it to. Laymen and magicians alike. I have been doing ACAAN routines for years but this one has gotten me the best reactions of any of them. People are completely weirded out when they find their card at their number. I think one reason this has gotten such better reactions is because there are literally NO sneaky moves AT ALL. Plus they can deal the cards....you can't get much more fair than that.

Such a Huge fan of the ACAAN effect. I usually look for the best plot there is. But so far his handling to this classic effect makes you think of pure magic. A borrowed and shuffled deck and for the trick to be impromptu is such genius man! Good Job Rick, another trick to go with every Magicians arsenal.

Oh my god! This trick is absolutely insane. Borrowed deck and impromptu! Magic doesn't get any better than that. The teaching is good, as always from Mr Lax, i'll defiantly be adding this to my arsenal! Easily worth the ten dollars. Anyone with that money - get it right this second, you will use it for sure!

Wow! Great effect. Fooled me - I was absolutely stumped. When I read that it is impromptu, I was shocked. When I read that it could be done with a borrowed, shuffled deck, I was amazed. And when I bought it, I was VERY happy. Now I've got some practicing to do! Rick Lax, another great release.

Good idea, however what it is billed as is a little misleading. This is not an ACAAN, but a Selected Card At Any Number.
