TieGo
Rick Lax
Technically, it’s a vanish and reappearance, but I think of it as more of a visual gag.
You hold a necktie with both hands, and as you move your hands down, the tie vanishes. Move one hand back up, and the tie reappears.
This move can be performed with any tie, though the skinny ones are best. You’ll be performing TieGo in no time. Very easy, very fun. Taught in just 6 minutes of instruction.
Enjoy!

This is a cool way to vanish a tie.
Alabaster, Alabama • Aug 30th, 2022Awesome! Would definitely take his advice on the type of ties though.
Illinois • Dec 12th, 2021It is a fun trick to do. It is also easy to do. After a few minutes practice I did it already the same day and I got great reactions.
Belgium • Feb 29th, 2016This effect is genius and super easy to understand and learn. It can take some practice, and the video goes a little fast, but since it is so impromptu and original, that is more than made up for! (it is also free, so the trick is definitely worth it!)
U.S.A • Nov 26th, 2015The method is incredibly simple, but not simple enough for the spectator to figure out. First of all, it's 100% free, so why not? Secondly, this is one of my main go-to tie effects. It takes like 10 minutes to master, and the tutorial is of course VERBAL. Lease just do yourself a favor and get this! I love it! Everyone loves it! That is all.
California, USA • Sep 23rd, 2015No gimmicks! All you need are your two hands and some practice to get the speed and rhythm of the trick!
Canada • Aug 25th, 2015Awesome! The fact that it's impromptu, requires no gimmicks, and that it's free makes it a really great trick to learn.
North America • Mar 20th, 2015Honestly, the method is just so simple that it is worth getting just to have as a go to effect. A tie is a pretty common object so it can even be borrowed. This effect is worth the minutes it takes to learn (learn for free I might add).
United States • Dec 26th, 2014This is the type of effect you need to download for two reasons. 1) So that you can say "Yeah I'll show you a really quick trick, with my tie!" 2) It's free and makes your show more magical. You cant lose anything with this trick as it's free. Go on, give it a try and leave your audience just thinking "wait, how and what did he just do?"
Berkhamsted • Dec 22nd, 2014It's just one of those few awsome and great tricks you just can't get for free, except this one! FOR FREE pretty awsome.

United Kingdom • Sep 17th, 2013Very cool looking and is fun to perform, it's good as it's different. It's not a card trick or coin trick, it's something unique. It's very useful when you have no props but someone is wearing a tie.
United Kingdom • Aug 19th, 2013What a great and easy-to-do trick and even gets better being for FREE!
Argentina • Jul 8th, 2013Looks awesome, and its FREE! Great job Rick!
Canada • Jun 11th, 2013I have never had so much fun with such a simple trick. The trick itself is more shocking than deceptive, but this is definitely a gag I see myself doing in my routines. This is great for virtually every situation, and the best part is that it's free!!
Virginia • Jun 8th, 2013Very simple, smooth, and fun!
Vietnam • May 14th, 2013I love it! It's clever, it's easy to learn, the method is great, and with practice it can fool anyone! The best part is it's free!

Peru • Mar 7th, 2013I love this effect. As a comedy magician I use this trick all the time as my opener and people just love it. It works better in a parlor type situation which is great because I mostly perform parlor. I think this is brilliant, 10/10 .
United Kingdom • Feb 20th, 2013Great effect. Very clever. Great job Rick!
United States • Dec 20th, 2012I figured the method was something like this, but he gives a lot of advice to make the trick even better. Gotta love this guy!

California • Sep 25th, 2012Nice trick! I like wearing ties, but never really had much that I was able to do with them magic-wise aside from a tie through my neck or the spectator's neck. This is going into my new set of off-beat tricks for sure!
Houston, TX • Sep 23rd, 2012From the mind of Rick Lax comes a new creation. Fun to do and oh by the way - it's free!
USA • Sep 23rd, 2012This trick is such a visual, easy to do effect. I love this. Whenever I'm performing casually and the night is kind of over, this is what I do. I take off my tie and blow people away. This effect is also FREE!
Livingston, New Jersey • Sep 22nd, 2012This is super easy and looks really real. You can have fun for many hours in front of a mirror, making your tie disappear. It's free so why wouldn't you download it?! :)

Amystika • Sep 18th, 2012This is fanTIEstic! :P Rick's easygoing manner and clear teaching style makes it easy to pick up the effect right away and understand every bit very clearly. Hit DOWNLOAD now.
Spokane, WA • Sep 17th, 2012This is so good.
California • Sep 16th, 2012I think this is an awesome random gem of a trick. It reminds me of Redline a little bit. A unique object, offbeat and something that looks utterly impossible. I'd like to work this into a manipulation routine.
Salt Lake City, Utah • Sep 15th, 2012Another amazing idea! 10/10.
California • Sep 12th, 2012I remember seeing this on Rick's Youtube Channel a while ago and it fooled me badly. It's great to see it for free on the Wire, thanks Rick!
London • Sep 12th, 2012This is a very awesome little gag that I can tie in (pun intended) whenever I'm at a dance or formal type gathering.
