Nixa, MoWhat's up world!? I am Riggs and I'm from the midwest. Been doing magic for about 15 years. Mainly close up and parlor stuff. I have done restaruant work in the past and now can be often seen doing magic in the street's downtown. (Springfield, MO downtown) I do events: Big, Small, Private, Public, but my passion is the nitty gritty streets. Nothing beats it! The raw energy and feeling just thrills me. No curtain and no spotlight! Crowd control is a must as much as your skills. Leave the big boxes at home! THIS IS STREET MAGIC. I am proud to be releasing my work to the world. My recipe for magic is simple all you need is practical, relatable and a dash of kick in the face. When you can incorporate all that then you have a trick you love doing. And when a magician does a trick they love to do, it certainly shows! Now there's more to me than this paragraph but the more I talk about magic the more I want to do it so I am going bounce out of here and hit downtown, hit me up...

What is your creative process - how do you come up with new effects and ideas?
I work backwards. I have the end result and then I figure out the path needed. I am also all about practicality and minimalism. If I can do magic with the objects I already care then its a win win for me and the audience.
How often do you practice - how do you keep your skills (and mind) sharp?
I practice everyday. I am a big believer in repetition. I am the most comfortable when showing a new trick when I know I have over practiced a sleight.
How did you first get started in magic?
My Dad and I was at a IMAX Theater and a small magic shop was in the lobby. Waiting for our movie the magician showed us a trick, after that moment I was instantly hooked and my Dad bought me my first trick from there.
Which artists have inspired you the most in your work thus far?
I am a big fan of Joshua Jay and Daniel Garcia, those two people really know how to make magic fun, cool and most importantly practical.
