This is a very visual false cut with a cardistry flourish to it. People who do cardistry will likely find it easy to learn and a move they will want to use. For magic, however, I think there's a bit of a limitation. This is just my subjective opinion, but I don't think I would use this move in the middle of an effect because its flourish quality makes it look a little too much like you're manipulating the deck and thus suspicious. Having said that, I would definitely use this before beginning an effect as a little showmanship in a situation where you want to keep the deck in a particular order such as a stack. For that situation, this is excellent.
