Hey guys! I'm Shreyas and I am an 18 year old Cardist, Magician, and Rubik's Cube Speedsolver born in India and currently residing in the United States. Before getting into magic, I had been actively speedcubing for about 3 years. Starting from 2012, I've broken several national records and was the former Asian record holder for solving one of the Rubik's Cube's variations in 2.28 seconds! :) By late 2015, I began to slowly lose interest in solving puzzles and wanted to move on into a new hobby. That's when I came across Calen Morelli's Card Freestyle which prompted me to get into the art of cardistry and magic. I'm working on a prototype deck which symbolizes my joint interest in these 3 passions so any help towards the development of the playing cards is widely appreciated. How did you first get started in magic?

Even though I had seen several episodes of Criss Angel when I was about 10, I never really got that spark at that time probably because I though I could never do it. Back in 2015 while I was binge-watching YouTube videos, I came across Calen Morelli's 'Card Freestyle' video. His multiple card production is the sole move that gave me that push to start learning magic and cardistry.

Which artists have inspired you the most in your work thus far?

1. David Blaine 2. Andrei Jikh 3. Zach Mueller 4. Dan and Dave Buck 5. Patrick Varnavas

How often do you practice - how do you keep your skills (and mind) sharp?

I have a deck of cards almost always. I take one everywhere I go. When I mean everywhere, I seriously do mean EVERYWHERE. I always seek to find out new ways to approach a given effect and try to add a little bit of a personal finesse to every effect I perform and not just copy the way in which professionals perform them.
