A card is selected and then signed by a spectator, before being lost back into the deck. You try and fail to find the selection behind your back, pulling the wrong card from the pack. In an attempt to rescue the trick, you take a marker pen, and 'doctor' the pips of the wrong card so that they match the pips of the selected card. You then take this a step further, getting the spectator to grip the altered pip in their fingertips, and with just a wipe you 'doctor' the spots on the card too, so they also match the selected card. The only thing now missing from this 'doctored' card is the spectators own signature, which you miraculously forge onto the card yourself, before handing out the 'doctored' card to the audience to be fully examined. The audience is left with an impossible souvenir complete with the altered pips and mysteriously forged signature.

Doctored is a fun effect, with a comical first phase as you draw on the pips, an unexpected but startling second phase as you change the spots and finishes with a mystery as you seemingly forge the spectator's own signature.
