Hey, so does anybody know what banachek was talking about when he said something like "it sometimes throws me off..." in the beggining of the interview?
Great interview, thanks for posting it. Banachek is a very creative person, and I respect his work a lot.
From what I could hear, it sounds like he said that "everyone thinks that Criss always uses stooges, which isn't true".
Obviously, Criss doesn't always use stooges, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't use them sometimes! It's pretty obvious to me that he has used them at least a few times during his shows... and creative editing can make a trick look more impressive to a television audience than to those in actual attendance.
Awesome video! I'll rate it 5 stars even though I think it deserves a 4 only because this is Banachek. :) I also think that this confirms it that Criss Angel doesn't use stooges considering Banachek was fired from MIndfreak for the dumbest reason I've ever heard so I'm sure Banachek would had gladly told you it's all staged. =P One last question I have is did Banachek say that Criss started using stooges? I had trouble understanding that (hence why I think it should be a 4 because of the noise in the background, but you had no control over that).
I'm a huge fan of Banachek so that's pretty awesome you got to meet him. I'm sure you were happy about that too. :) (Out of curiosity, would you recommend buying Banacheks silverware DVDs?)

Actually, when Banachek was introduced, he mentioned that this season of Mindfreak (Season 4, I believe) will be his last season because he's got some personal projects he's working on and he gonna get those started. He didn't say anything about getting fired. (Of course, who WOULD get up in front of a hundered people and say, "I got fired?") Not sure what he's working on, though- I didn't think to ask.
No- Banachek said that everyone thinks that Criss uses stooges and he doesn't. He also mentioned Luke Jermay's spectator pulse stop and that it was impromptu and didn't use any stooges, either.
Banachek's Psychokinetic Silverware DVD is amazing as far as content and uses completely normal silverware. No gaffs. If you're sitting around a lunch and want the ability to bend metal with your mind, I would definitly recommend it.
P.S. Thanks for the comments!
I would rather not say as I'm not 100% positive for the reason so I don't want to start rumors, but I've heard he was recently fired, and the reason just made me lose all respect I had for Criss Angel.
