I got started in magic when I was 14ish. I don't really have a cool story like a lot of people do, I simply saw a super simple card trick, and wanted to know how it was done. Then I saw a better person one, learned it and wanted to show all my friends.

got into magic 4 years ago, i was always felt not comfortable around people one day i searched a theory in math and it found theory 11 when i saw the reaction that people get from magic i got hit by it and since then i've been doing magic and loving magic

Got into magic approximately 2 years ago :). Growing up, I was always a bit socially awkward- I found it difficult to approach and talk to people because (apparently) not everyone is interested in mathematics :D ! By some random coincidence, I learnt a card trick on YouTube (for the heck of it) and challenged myself to perform it on someone I had never spoken to. The reactions were great! Ever since, I have carried and performed with a deck of cards where ever I go.

I watched the Now You See Me and, and got into magic. At first I learned magic by youtube, and I watched a interview that andrei did to the NYSM cast from that interview I got to know theory11, and I got to know magic a lot better!

I started about a year and a half ago

When I was pretty young, I went to a birthday party that a magician was hired to work. After his performance, i was hooked. Since then, I have loved magic but only recently I have really gotten into it. I have practiced different moves nonstop and bought a few great illusions. I hope to be able to continue learning and growing as a performer and show my stuff to many people.

Saw Copperfield in Omaha, NE in 1st grade. Soon after moved to San Diego and did a book report on Houdini. That book taught a few basic effects that I used to meet kids at my new school. From there, i was hooked! 30 years later... still doing it!

I ordered this box and you never know what will be inside until you open it. inside were a stripper deck, an invisible deck and many more genius tricks. I am now obsessed.

I started magic when I was a child of 5-6 years with a small kit of magic and I loved it right away! :)

Way back when in a land far away . . . ;) Just kidding. I gotta say I honestly don't remember. The first memory I have is from going into a magic shop on mackinaw island as a 8 year old and buying a vanishing coin trick. I would do a trick here and there, but I never considered myself a "magician". However, one day when I was 16 I just had a magic spark go off that inspired me to pursue some more "modern day" magic. I've never looked back since. :)

I got started in magic when I was inducted into the illuminati. I had to learn a few tricks in order to pass the induction. I made it, and from there I learned many "real" magic tricks. I got started in magic before freshman year because I wanted to pick up girls

My grandpa is part of the IBM, so he has influenced me into magic, and i've always been doing it on and off with my life, but I never got seriously into it. I started getting serious in about 5th grade. My friend was showing people the back-palm vanish, and i had no idea how they did it. The reaction that people got was amazing! They were laughing and screaming. I begged my friend to teach it to me, and they did. From then on, i worked HARD with magic, and more recently, cardistry. My first experience in doing a stage act was at my summer sleepaway camp. They had a talent show, and on a whim, I signed up. I performed Angle Z by Daniel madison, and people went insane. Every day after, it was "show me that trick you did" or "i need to know how you did that". To this day, I strive to work as hard as I can in magic, and The Wire on Theory11 has inspired me to start creating magic by myself. I will most likely get a job in magic or performance in the future (I'm currently 13, so I guess I would be a slave if I worked that young)

My first magic experience was a David Copperfield magic show when i was 7 but I never really got into doing it until I turned 9. I got into doing magic when a magician named Ryan Oakes came to the Yokosuka Naval Base (we were stationed in Japan at the time) to perform and teach magic... I got addicted. He taught me multiple sleights and effects and i showed some of my friends and blew them away. A few years later my mom took me to a magic bar in Tokyo where a very famous Japanese magician named Kila worked. I talked to him and showed him a few things and he told me that I had a lot of potential to become a professional magician (we missed Cyrils show:( ) but i still got the opportunity to talk to the most known magician in Japan. Its been a few months since I met Kila and I have been doing magic non-stop since. Another inspiration at the Bar was another famous magician named K-Suke who actually was requested to go to the Magic Castle and become a part of the Junior Society when he still lived in Japan and was 16 at the time. I am currently 13 years old and I live in San Diego (Auditioning for AGT in a few months).

Just graduated college with a BA in molecular biology and biochemistry. Needless to say, it was science day in and day out, and while I did enjoy learning the various topics from biophysics to immunology, everything is presented in such a way that the subject is set in stone and challenging dogma is nonexistent. I started picking up sleight of hand tricks and other easy illusions as I started to collect cards as it gives the unimaginable a welcoming chance to step into the limelight.

From age 11-13 magic was just a little hobby for me and I never showed anyone besides my family. Then one day I brought a rope trick out to a musical theatre rehearsal and I showed it to my friends, by the end of the trick two people turned into twelve people. Being able to see them smile and laugh was something that brought me so much joy that to this day being able to perform magic for as many people as I can find and getting to see them smile and laugh all over again is what will keep me doing magic for the rest of my life.

I got over two years ago as I saw on TV and youtube how it made myself and other people feel and I really wanted to replicate that. I am now still doing magic and love the feeling of making other people feel that feeling and that made me happy as well. I'm also pretty sure that if I work really hard on magic then I will actually crack Illuminati. ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED.

I started magic about 6 months ago when my dad was performing Do as I Do at a Christmas party. I was amazed and immediately started researching card magic and cardistry. Now I'm here!

I got into magic after I found some old trick decks from Vegas. I figured out how to use them, and thought it was really interesting to make miracles happen. I've been doing magic ever since, and now I feel like those trick decks are completely below the tricks sold at theory11.
