i don't know what everyone else is talking about, because I have this DVD and I definitely couldn't see how the vanishes were done (third one did look slightly suspicious though).
Work on getting your sleights to flow more with your performance. You seem like a very calm magician, but the sleights are rather jerky and suspicious looking. Just something to work on. =P
Otherwise, its a nice concept =D 3/5
thanks guys for checking this vid out.....by the way others call me man, dude but hey youre wrong im girl magician and just started last 6 months ago....cya...
For this vid, I give you points for effort with regards to making the routine your own and the music was nice. Overall, I really didn't enjoy how you performed the effect.
The vanishes were not fluid and concise, choppy with the moves. Your version of this queen effect would not be good to perform for your audience because its not visual and seems like your trying to "hide" something rather than providing your audience a wonderful display of astonishment.
Something to keep in mind is that if you're going to perform a magic effect in your own style, you gotta understand the foundation behind the original method of the trick. Without it, you're just ruining the trick and wasting some valuable practice time. I suggest you study up more The Queens effect by learning the original method by Bill Goodwin, and Dan&Dave's rendition of the effect.
Keep practicing and soon enough you will have this effect downpact.
it was good, I saw it on vimeo, Id say thats a pretty good idea nut you gotta practice it a bit more ..... the first vanish dont rush, thats the worst thing you can do. Pretty good ideas.
Keep it up gal.
Meh. You flashed on three out of four changes, and on the third one, you just used the camera to try to cover up the sleight. Not only in that unrealistic in a real life performance, but you could still see movement on camera. Good ideas, practice more, and figure out an alternative for the third change. Also, figure out an angle that makes the first vanish invisible.
SG
It was good but not good enough. There were some flashes and the third dissapearence was a litlle odd because you were doing something there but i couldn´t see what. I thought at first that you rolled over the card but in not shure. Ill give it 4/5.
