I'm surprised you got the teacher on board! I gotta sell an arm and a leg to do magic in my classes. It's moments like this one that you filmed that keeps us magicians going. good job! :)

Okay let me clear some of this up. This is my technical theatre class hence the teacher in the jumpsuit. This was a trick that I previously performed for the same group a year ago and they wanted to see it performed again. The reason I went outside was because year ago they challenged me to read there minds from outside the room. So I did the same exact action as the last time I performed this trick. When I was outside I remembered the basic rule of thumb, "don't perform the same trick twice." So I through a creative twist to a force and tell trick that I performed a year ago. The reason I pointed out the 8 was because the 8 was not going to get any clearer then it already was. In fact is was already vanishing when I got into the room. My skin color doesn't help much either. Also because me stating there was the card on my skin, there minds helped trick them thinking that they actually see the outline. so there you go, Nexus

Mmmmmehhh I have to be honest, I didn't like your performance. The reactions you got were great, but I think that's because they were already about to explode, and Stigmata is a killer effect anyways. When you get an audience into that situation, you really gotta sell it. I didn't like the fact that you pointed out the 8, or the fact that it happened so quickly. You should slow down, give them some time to breathe, and when it all comes down to it, they should be the ones saying, "Oh my goodness... there's an 8... ahh!" etc. Not sure if I'm huge on the leaving the room bit either, but that's just my style. That performance is all in the past now, naturally, but I would just say those few things for when you next perform. Sun\Sky

hahahaha great work! i loved the part where one of the guys goes "BIGGG WOOOP!!" - david blaine style! that was classic.

Now there were parts of this that i really enjoyed, and parts of it I really didn't. The whole way the force was presented was real nice, sort of as a "second thought" before you left the room. Also, getting the girl to go back in with the deck to "do the move" was smooth thinking as far as thinking as you go goes. But the actual "stigmata" itself. The effect for the spectators rather then the moves and the thought behind it was poorly presented. You sort of just had him squeeze your arm then went "hey look. its the 8". That's..boring. It also doesnt really give a reason for the squeezing or anything. Think about it, whats supposedly happening here is that the marks are morphing into their card. This just didnt happen in your presentation. A very strong line that I believe Wayne uses is something along the lines of "see how my arm is red from you squeezing?", This re-enforces this idea that the parks they see at the end are from them squeezing and it having morphed into their card. You NEED to sell this. That said, it got good reactions, and in the end, that's what it's really all about. I do, however, believe that you could have sold this and turned it into "real" magic. Keep it up, keep performing. I enjoyed it. Cheers, Lucas

Bad performance. Reactions were great, but you can blame the group for that. You rushed too much, no real presentation and went to the climax too fast. Don't point the 8. Wait for them to find out for themself. That is always more powerful. Still have a 5 for just performing though :). -Seb
