How can anyone say that the reveal of the card is unoriginal? Because it uses a move that has been used before? So if you invented a trick that used for example a Biddle Steal, it wouldn't be original since the Biddle Steal has been published by Elmer Biddle?

Anything before the execution of the "original" more is not original, just jumbled shuffling and controlling. I believe I have seen the sleight for the move elsewhere, and chances are someone out there has it in a manuscript or something. It's not that great of an effect compared to a rising card out of a deck, so it isn't really in your best interest to pursue something of this sort. I applaud your ability to create and experiment though. Keep it going

Thanks for the feedback. Foldmaster, I've never seen Oz do something like this. Can you post a link to where I can see him doing this?

Check your PMs. I've provided a link to both Oz's effect ("Clutch"), and my effect, C.F.B. Cheers, Ben

I like it! Personally, I love tricks that are quick and simple. 4/5 ;D

Not to be mean, but it's not yours. Oz Pearlman published something like this ages ago, and I think it's been around for a while. You should also probably work on a better card control

I frankly don't find the card being cut into the deck then the deck immediately being cut to be fooling enough for even a layman, but that's just my opinion. I simply feel that there are so many chreat card controls out there, you really shouldn't need to rely on this. However, my criticism was more for the effect overall, and not the card control

@Foldmaster: Actually, I released an effect entitled "CFB" days before Pearlman released "Clutch". You can check it out on Theory11's videos; there's a link on my profile. And as for needing a better card control - the control skit he uses in this video is more than enough to fool any layman. I would only suggest using a better control if: 1) You provided an alternative control or set of controls as a substitute for what he does in this video; or 2) you think he should be worried about fooling magicians (which, in all honesty, is rather impossible - the basic concept of card magic requires that the magician has control over the selected card(s) at all times. It requires less than common sense [from a magician] to know that any time a magician is "mixing" up the cards, he or she knows exactly where it is.)

"You should also probably work on a better card control" Might I ask why? Although I suspect it's because you don't think it's fooling enough... - Sean

Pretty cool trick. I like the card thru case type effects, it really seems to blow spectators minds.

honestly man. I really don;t like it. if a card is rising out of the middle of the deck, from the box, it would open. right now, it just looks like it's rising from the back of the deck.

Nice trick, I think I can figure it out, because it is similar to a trick I have learned before (uses the same move), it really looks nice though. The camera was a bit shaky, if you could keep that still it would be lovely :) Interesting effect. Keep up the good work, -Sanj
