Oh god! I can't believe this.... looks like the same old magic effects. Why can't you guys come up with something original? What makes me laugh the most is that you guys try to claim that these are your original effects!! LMAO.... Try reading some books kids instead of relying on these crappy DVDs.. You will find all these effects plus many many more in the manuscripts that Mr. Garcia and his friends read.

I'm guessing a little, but it looks like the credit/key card effect is an update of his effect "static" which appeared on the Guerrilla Guide to Loops DVD; before that, the levitation of a credit card was published as DISCHOVER platinum in "Next' (his 2002 lecture notes).

I just wonder why the DVD is called Symphony. Being a music major, that evokes a lot of things. I hope the title ties into the effects or maybe that fifth effect that we didn't see in some kind of witty way...

Thats quite a shame, I really the name "Symphony", but if the idea came from "a series of notes" I would have called it Prelude or something. Oh well, doesn't really matter as long as the effects are any good.

There's a quote by DG in the instruction part of this DVD where he says that magic isn't just about the tricks - that there's a thousand tiny details that go into it just like individual music notes in a symphony. Each note working together to create something bigger than itself. The "series of notes" quote brought about the idea of the title "Symphony," and ever since then it has stuck.

Some of the effects were taught by Danny himself in Blackpool 09! They are amazing and really easy and practical! Cant wait if he improved anything!
