I agree with almost everyone above. You did do great however you do need to work on presentation. I mean sure you may see the effect as a really magical moment and you may be impressed that it went that well however the effect isnt about you its about the audience. You need to remember your not performing for yourself but for the audience. Use hand gestures crack a little joke and this may not seem like much but even taking off the flame shirt could have built up the suspence to show you werent hiding any special gimmicks....But just keep practicing man. Over all i did like it but like i said just work on your presentation. Oh on one final note as Mikk said try to pick a spectator to help in a professional way even asking " Well i need a volunteer to inspect some things for me anyone care to challenge me" Not those exact words but something of the sort.

Just one more thing. Look at your assistant. Which by the way is maby your sister. She has presentation skills. Shes walking around, dancing, smilling and everything. She was nice to watch.

I totaly agree with Dan and Mikk. I think it was kinda hard to watch couse of the none entertaining parts. I mean look at Waynes or Daniels performances. The build up the act so good that it makes you enjoy it even if there where no magic involved. Kepp working on your acting and presentation skills before you do the next show. Even at my first show, I tryed to involve everybody and make them laugh. Thats what its all about. They wanna have a fun time and not just watch some scams and tricks. Chris

I agree with Mikk with just about everything he said. Confidence is key. Be confident in your work. Every time you bowed with your hands semi-up in the air it showed that you weren't that confident. I think the torn and restore newspaper needed a little work. It was done a little slow and the reveal for the restore was slow. That might have been because you were under pressure though. Nonetheless keep working at it. Just remember to keep the audience entertained. Speak professionally, like an entertainer. That's what we are. Here's a few words that I would use if I had called a person from the audience up on stage to help me out. "Hey Tony thanks for volunteering, You're going to help us out today with a little demonstration, Everybody give a big round of applause for Tony! Tony what you're job is to inspect everything and make sure what we're using is 100% legit. What this is here, is a solid metal chain made of steel. Go ahead and make sure you can't break it, slam it on the stage if you like, just make sure it's real.:) Good Tony, Now I need you to check this box out for me, make sure the sides of the box are all completely solid. Alright you're doing great Tony. One last thing until we get started, just help me lift this curtain over the box then I won't bother you anymore. (Although as Mikk said, why would you put the curtain way over there in the first place?) Thanks so much for your help Tony, you may take your seat, Everybody give it up for Tony!" You need to practice what you're going to say, you can't just think you know what to do. That doesn't work half the time. Not word for word, but have an idea. Constantly be moving with the mic in your hand. The stage is yours, USE MOST OF IT. Walk across stage as you're talking to Tony and telling him what to do. I hope you take this advice and work on it. You have potential. You just need to fix some things. Dan

Newspaper tear: I didnt get the ring that was missing was that by accident or what? The restoration itself was not so good, and you tilted yourself forward to look at the paper restore. Not good! Less body movement on the restoration it just looked goofy and i felt that is didn't come out well, stage nerves or lack of practice who knows. Metamorphosis, okay, the first thing. Dont ever send you assistant to go pick out people without proper qualification. She needs to be very confident and she has to know what to do if she fails once.If she fails with asking, then asking again is out of the question she has to take some ones hand and just bring them there. The alternative is that you do it. Andy Nyman has an awesome way of getting people to come up on stage. I think you can find many sources on this. Also, cheer, talk, do whatever on stage just don't ever stand on one spot and do nothing. That kills it. Guide your assistant to a spectator. Just don't ever be in one spot. Never! You were also very insecure the whole time. You bowed on an offbeat. The Black Curtain should have been there at first, it did not make sense why you put that there afterward. Never let the spectators see your back, never! Tell that to your assistant. She was totally in the way when she was opening the lock. Maybe it was opened the whole time!? The effect itself was awesome. But try to be more confident and wear something else as a shirt. Those flames made me think you are a little kid, a teenager. Thats what you want to get rid of atm. Although it is a personal preference, sorry if you were offended but i have my own thoughts on how you should dress. EDIT// Made a few changes and fixed some spellings. Nothing really changed looking at the context. Mikk
