I've worked on effect with my act. I usually explain that a term trick by nature implies a puzzle or gaff, while the word effect convays with it a sense of a more honest presentation, like a stunt almost. I have found most of my audiences accept this explenation. Thanks for your complements! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

Wow! That was extremely entertaining, extremely different than what I'm used to (magic acts!) Two things. One, what do you think about using the word "effect" for laypeople? I just sort of realized... it sounds sort of weird. I don't think I'd know what an effect is (what are your thoughts?) And you need a lapel mic!
