This is quite ridiculous. I thought Theory11 was more professional than this. Wasn't the original idea to create an environment where everyone could learn and discuss magic? It appears as though furthering this art has lost some importance.
I'm still trying to figure out how this is a spoof...it seemed like a poorly done remake, to me. There wasn't anything added, just taken away. And there's like zero creativity--these videos are a dime a dozen on YouTube. o_O
For a good example of how things could have been done, take a look at "P|ss In My Scrubs" (a medical themed "Jizz In My Pants", also by The Lonely Island; check YouTube). The song was re-written to fit a medical theme, sung by the creators (instead of just using another's song and lyrics), and filmed to match. There was so much creativity that went into it...it really makes all the difference. They even added the little nuances from the original, but in a creative way (ending with a guy getting pulled in a wheel chair, instead of a shopping cart--again, to fit the theme, but still match the original fairly well). Oh, and it was made by some med school students at the University of Western Ontario (for a university function there). :)
hmmm, I know Zach seems to hang with T11 a lot, so that might (more than likely) be the reason as to why it got posted. I personally love these types of things (usually). But, having said that, I am sure there are some good magic videos that never made it through. So that's the main thing that bugs me about this.

is there ANY reason why this is in the media section on a magic site. It's not funny at all, as a matter of fact I think I became slightly retarded after watching it. I did like original video that the Lonely Island did, but this is not even funny at all, it's sad and degrading to a magic community. I do get you guys were just having a good time and all, but you don't need to post this video here because IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MAGIC OR FLOURISHING!
reverhart I agree with you completely, even though i am a "youngster" I hate this kind of stuff.
Wow...I just lost a lot of respect for Theory 11 and the artists who allowed this media to be posted. This is exactly what is wrong with today's youth. I'm only 31 and didn't find this funny at all.
Maybe I'm getting too old school, but this is the type of attitude that I see many teens displaying....whether it is a spoof or not. Oh well.
Theory 11 definitely stoops low on this one. Good job guys. Let's keep catering to the youngsters who eat this up.

Maybe you guys could record it on video, upload it here. Since obviously they don't give a crap if it's magic related or not.
But anyway, the ONLY thing awesome or funny about this video is the song. And I could get the song from the REAL video. You know, the one that was actually FUNNY?
I highly doubt that this video would even have made it up here if Zach wasn't a mod. And I'm sure most of you would agree.
I feel like my mother and father joined theory11, because it seems like they are commenting this video over and over and over. I thought you guys only complained about flourishing and magic. Apparently a small video (which is a representation of how ridiculous we feel the rap music industry is) turns all the theory11 members into expert video critiques. May I also note that this is a spoof off of a SNL video called "I'm on a boat". Have a good day.

Agreed^^^, saying that the video is funny doesnt makes it funny, even when recording something that you think its going to be "funny" you have to do it with taste. I cant believe that a lot of videos get rejected and this gets accepted. Jesus.
