nice technique, but was WAY too fast. You didn't let the magic sink in and from a spectators point of view it wouldn't have looked very magical, just quite confusing and hard to keep track of which card was where. This would explain your spectators luke-warm reaction.
You have to remember that we, as magicians, can follow stuff when it's done fast because we know how cards are handled, but close up magic is alien to most people, so you need to be very slow and very open about what is happening so that they don't get lost in a flurry of moves, vanishes and re-appearances
Oh yeah, and work on you patter. Had you been little less mumbly he might have been slightly more amazed.
Still, like a I said, your sleights were sound and you certainly didn't expose/flash anything, so it was good from a technical point of view. Just not very entertaining.
Keep it up though, I certainly see potential!

It was good. I think it would have been even better if you took a bit more time and let it sink in. I think you moved a bit too fast. Take your time! That will certainly add to it. But really good job.
