Magicians have such funny ways of thinking. Ohh what If the move makes a sound? Ohh two rises are just as good as three, so just use two. Firstly I'm not flaming the video, I think its great, but the way magicians think is very naive. Get out there and bloody perform instead of trolling the forums and you will see how little nuisances can be avoided. Its like reading a book about swimming and jumping into the deep end of the pool. I can't be done well.

WOW that was patronising. I felt like an idiot. I can see very well that you give it a shake, and that the card is rising. I can tell you're putting the card near the bottom of the deck. That's not performing magic, that's performing a trick. The move itself was alright. The motion is the main thing to improve on. No need to move the deck a foot if you're doing it right. This is something I don't get. You wouldn't post a choppy double lift. You wouldn't post a bad pass with too much movement. So why would you post a fidgety performance of Raise Rise? Yes, the move is difficult, but that's no excuse. Whether it's an anti-faro, or an elmsley, if it's not right, it's not right. A difficult move is no excuse for not getting it down properly before performance.

the reason why is because they are still performing it. You should perform as you normally would, for the sake of critique and any constructive criticism. If you do it fast to us then we need to assume you do it that fast for spectators.

I dont see why people here complain much about the speed of effects... Since this is a forum for magicians, isn't it....?

Yes, but we perform for laymen, don't we...?

Not bad. The move itself looked a bit fidgety. I recommend doing one more rise to let the effect sink in. So many magicians think that having two rises is just as good as three. Coming from someone who performs this regularly, I disagree. Still not a bad effort, keep it up.

u gotta slow down a little, and let the effect sink in, also could use some more practice. Overall good vid.
