-The false transfer match vanish was highly suspicious. That hand looked really guilty.
-Too much attention on the Lit matchbook after the switch of the two matchbooks. Just say, "Here, hold this" and draw attention to what you're doing with the cards.
-There was no reason for you to take out five cards. You lose their card in the deck then immediately just decide to take out five cards. Why? Give a reason to what you're doing. It didn't make any sense.
-You telegraphed the ending of the effect. Why not just say, "Light a match" and let the ending be a surprise?
-You seemed like you had a lot of nervous energy while you were performing. You blew through the entire effect. Slow down.
The good part of the performance is you seem really likable and personable.
Keep it up, man.
The reaction was insane but as others have said...your Biddle Count and steal could definitely use some work. You definitely flashed the 9 when pulling your hand back out of your jeans pocket. Nobody must have caught it except the camera guy and us.
I am not sure what to say about how you carry and present yourself. It was a bit awkward. Was it nerves?
Any how, thanks for posting and keep improving.
To be honest, i think that was a disgraceful performance, and im highly surprised that they didnt see you had the match palmed inyour right hand, because you were holding onto it for dear life.
You need to work on your presentation of everything, because you are making everything here seem very light hearted, when its much more suited to an eerie style of effect, not the kind of indie shenanigans you seem to peddle.
So to recap, work on how you present yourself (Im a magician, yay! is terrible) Work on confidence around people, and work on your tech skills before posting.
Great trick... jalso i agree with the Biddle trick... dont go so fast or pretend to mess up.. it shows that you are nervious... trick are suppose to be smooth... anytime you need to do a move... misdirect them with a question.. they will be looking at you when you ask them... so then you can make the move... do go so fast to do the move while they are looking... even tho it feels good that you did it with them looking and they not see it... but so you dont mess up or pretend to mess up ,,,you can do the move and make it more smooth... talk to them more.. and when they look at you.. make the move.. but if they have to look at the cards... then dont do it so fast... make it look normal... little things can make a big difference in reactions.. ;)
and i did also catch the 9 of diamonds peek out of his pocket... try cutting the deck next time so it dont do that.. or keep it on the table.. then when they look at the card in their hand.. take the deck...
Yes I also agree that the biddle count needs work. Also don't know if anyone else saw but I saw the 9 of diamonds flash when you put the pack in your pocket.
I did like the way you switched up the recount to relocate the spectators card. Just for any new videos you make, you might want someone who can hold the camera still.
Great out come:) Those are always nice.
Gotta love the reactions. I'm sure we all strive for those. Good work. I would agree that the biddle count needs to be much more fluid and look fair. Other than that, great work!
You seemed really nervous and jittery towards the beginning. Try not to get distracted too easily (e.g "oh the window's not open is it?"), it really makes it look like you're nervous and speaking random words all over the phrase.
Great reaction, nevertheless! :)
