*sigh* Because 4for4 is the NEW version of this trick. Not the original. The original is as old as the hills and can be found in most card trick books at your local library. The original is basically what you saw here. Chris Kenner revamped it and turned into a switch that didn't need any pre-setup. Why doesn't anyone read good old magic books anymore? :( -PTG p.s. Also, Ampersan, the idea with showing the last ace was originally not to make a big deal out of it. You'd put the first three into the deck whilst pattering and then simply make a joke, and laugh or something while holding the final ace and flashing it non-conspicuously to the specs. They think they saw something that they weren't even supposed to see. They automatically believe that the all the other aces are in the deck, and even believe they are "ahead" and know what's going on. It's all psychological. p.p.s. Awesome vid, btw Mark. I see your point.... and yet, that problem has never come across me when I perform this to people. Magic wasn't meant to be viewed by magicians. But your logic makes sense.
