Yeah, I almost never did this trick to real public because I prefer to do my usual ACR. I think that it look more magical then Uzumaki. I just tought that this was a good trick to do to a camera. You can see my ACR on my youtube chanel. Lambertx. It's in french but still. You will be able te see the worst performance ever of a rifle pass lol.
In my personal opinion this is more of a flourish then a magic trick. You do it magnificently, just remember that a trick as flashy as this one looks really cool, but not necessarily magical. It's up to you to make it into a magic trick.
Its nice to see a performance of this beautiful effect. My only advice would be to slow it down. It really adds o the effect. Uzumaki by itself doesnt look all that great, but when you add (like "lorddrizzle" said) it really brings out the magic. And i understand that it can be harder to perform infront of a camara, but thats whats great about magic- its not ment to be performed infront of a camara but instead infront of people. Over all I liked it. :) -Dakota
The point of that performance was actualy to do it like they do it so thank you. Ill look into slowing it down. Naturaly in a real life perfo I would have my patter and interact with my spectator so I would not do it that fast. I'm having a hard time doing trick slowly on camera. Ill work on that. thank you for your comment !!!
Honestly, the Uzumaki looked a bit rushed and a lot like the performance on the instructional DVD. Slow it down to add some magic; rhythm is really important. Also, add some personality.
