First Professional Magic Gig

This is some footage of my first professional magic gig shot in Hope Village, Wrexham in Wales. I was randomly asked by the guy (who's birthday it was) to attend after performing magic in a bar where I live.

I have seen that cup and nail trick fail, but it was with a knife instead and the magician got his hand stuck. Another time I saw a video were the magician had a spectator do it, she got stuck! I don't know how it works but just be safe! It was great btw!

Many thanks for your kind words. The nail effect is a variation of the 'smash and stab' trick, but is foolproof (I wouldn't do it otherwise...) Its two things - The Cobra sharpie and Cobra fang, both bought separately. It gets awesome reactions, and I do it a little better now presentation wise.

very nice! I absolutely loved it when you coughed up the card in the girls' hand. I did the same thing to one of my best friends and she's been my biggest fan since! I am curious as to the name of the cup and nail effect. I've seen similar effects with varying amounts of cups and different objects under the cup and it's always gotten a good reaction.
