OK if I am understanding how this is working this is essentially the water molecules being moved and broken up by sound waves played at a constant frequency. Then the video is captured at a frame rate that is in proportion to the frequency of the sound waves creating the illusion that the water is "suspended" in mid air. Viewing this with the naked eye would be a different experience but looking at the video footage it is something else.
Yeah I am a little bit of a science geek but one of the best things about science is sometimes you get really cool things like to play around with. :)
That's a very cool explanation, and it sounds like it might work. I might have to try it since I know the frame rate of my camera and can play a constant frequency easily from my computer.
