I enjoyed Looper. To me it was a great movie symbolic of the inner struggle between the duality of the soul. Its a battle between our own selfish impulses and our desire to help and protect those we care about. It is a culmination of an old philosophical idea of removing oneself from the equation. Its similar in concept to The Butterfly Effect. By removing yourself, and therefore your own self-interests, you may find a new solution or reality that has benefited everyone, except you. Its self-sacrifice and selflessness at its finest. In this case it is also a story of redemption for a lost soul, and about preventing a senseless cycle of violence and greed. Those are my thoughts on the movie at least.

Canada doesn't mind the warm weather right now.

Looper was an entertaining watch, but I more or less think the same as you Zach, not as good as I was expecting. Time travel movies never work, except in rare instances, not to say they can't be good, but looper was really quite bad with the paradoxes. It seemed like they wrote this big story and couldn't quite finish it off, so they just threw the telekinesis thing in, while naming it incorrectly, into the story. It just didn't really seem to fit in for me. I think it was worth watching though.
