that patter was awful. everything else is good, but definently work on your patter.

Not bad. Your audience were clearly entertained so thats a good start. However i feel you polluted the effect abit when you did the transposition with cards other than the selected card and then it turned out to be the selected card and you had one card reversed in the middle. How about first revealing the selected card in the middle, then apparently giving them a card (or the selected card), only to find it has gone back to the middle again reversed (and they will have whatever the other card was. This means there were only ever 2 cards in play which is alot easier and clearer to follow. It will also mean you get 2 effects which overall are much clearer and flow alot better and in my opinion would also be alot stronger. Recommended reading: Magic of Ascanio Volume 1, Strong Magic, and anything Vernon has to say about simplicity and getting to the climax.
