Tavern on the Green

playing cards
7500 pts

Originally designed by Calvert Vaux, Tavern on the Green was built as a sheep fold in the 1880’s to house 700 Southdown sheep. The building was transformed into a restaurant in 1934 as part of a park renovation by Robert Moses. Reopened in 2014, the restaurant paid homage to their roots with inviting décor and wood paneling reminiscent of the original sheep fold. It’s only fitting that these limited edition Tavern on the Green Playing Cards pay homage to this storied history.
