hey R3man
Do you plan on releasing a video or showing us your real face? lol
Why should he? He's DM's manager. Is that the best reply you could come up with after reading his post?
well I thought he was part of the group if he's not then I was mistaken but your making it sound like I should have a "worthy" question for him and what about his post he said everything that was true and he said if we had any questions post them up and I posted a question so whats the big deal ur making something bigger than it has to be
So what is Magic is dead?
At the moment daniel is using the MiD website to support, help and mentor beginners and/or up-and-coming performers who he sees potential in. Apart from being an artist, d+M also manages 12 magicians in the UK (a few of whom are linked at d+Ms site.) All of the 12 performers are real performers; meaning that they work as performers, they do not spend their time in forums answering to remarks from people who spend everyday in forums and they do not perform magic for your approval, their magic is for laypeople and clientele.
The artists spoken of in this thread are linked to MiD through their videos, which is their way of showing their respect to the foundation that supports them.

Is this to mean that these videos reflect what these "real world" performers are presenting on a regular basis to the clientèle made up of laypeople? Are these their "promo clips" as it were?
Seeking clarification,

Hey filth0013, is that spam or an indirect attack at somebody simply trying to answer peoples questions? .
David Blaine did an effect that used the same move. Someone picked a card and put in back in the deck and David Blaine says it will go in his pocket each time it isn't and eventually the deck is in his pocket and the one card in his hand is their card. He did it on screen and it can be done but takes misdirection of course but it can be done. I am not defending or opposing the website but just saying it can be done.Hey filth0013, is that spam or an indirect attack at somebody simply trying to answer peoples questions? Either way it's quite irrelevant
RE Camera tricks, like i've said 2ce now, the vids aint fo magis, they're performance vids, but maybe you need to ask the artists on those fronts. In speculation only, i think the Eat The Deck video speaks for itself, yup the deck has to be vanished and this is off screen, why? Well why the hell would we want to see the deck being disposed of onscreen? This is a real effect by the way and nonetheless the trick that got d+M's attention, when you see it in real life you'll change your mind. One lesson to be learnt here is that there's a huge difference between magic in real life and magic on film... one of the main reasons we rarely see d+M performing on film.
To sum up the camera-tricks question, you best ask the artists for it is they alone who are responsible for their vids.
