the titanas video is just a video introducing the trick
but is it basically 6 cans and 1 shaken?
and spike looks really good.
But i got a question about it. can i pm you.

I would suggest scorpion from outlaw effects.
http://www.outlaw-effects.com/store/silver-screen/scorpion-silver.html
Also I would suggest a routine like titanas because it is safer.
But if you don't want to do that by the dvd
Russian roulette and use an egg and a spectator. Have you seen the when magic goes wrong videos of smash and stabs here let me find a few.

Woah woah woah - When did this come out?! :S

D.

Assuming you're talking about Instinct. It's been out for awhile. It's the first thing I ever released. I think I was like 18 when we shot that. Still perform it to this day.

Matthew Mello

p.s. Just read through 23:23...brilliant stuff man. Sylla-code is great.

Okay so you do not want to do magnets then I would highly suggest the dvd Russian Roulette.
Inside the dvd you will learn how to do this trick in several different methods. I have used the coaster method in the past and it works like a charm.

If you're interested I'm in the process of releasing my "impromptu" version I call RUSSIAN ROZOREO... it uses about 5-10 oreo cookies and a nice double edged razor blade that gets shoved completely into the cream filling until out of sight, mixed up with a bunch of other regular oreos, then you hand them out your spectators and one by one have them shove them in their mouth and take nice big bites...in the end with your "psychic" abilities you find the cookie with the razor blade in it and all is well with the world.

has lots of opportunities for dark humor and comedy, which is why I like it, and it can be set up in minutes and there is like literally no null 0 risk in it screwing up. I just keep the pack of razor blades in my case for razor swallowing and if i have to fill more time I can easily run to the local store and grab a bag of Oreos and do the routine with no pre-set needed. Just a thought I figured I'd toss in the bunch...

I recently saw Keith Barry do the stage version of wayne dobson's smash and stab and it killed, this is another great russian roulette out on the market...

Before you put anything into your shopping cart, stop. Take your hands off the keyboard and mouse and lean back in your chair.

Now... ask yourself if you will be performing for audiences who would appreciate an effect that involves the potential risk of permanently maiming the performer. If the answer is yes, go ahead and buy a DVD or book. Though if I find out that you ever use somebody else's hand, I will find you and beat you like a crying child in a department store.

If the answer is no, however, please consider an alternative effect that involves the plot of chance and choices without the unpleasant possible side effect of audiences seeing human viscera.

I thought steerpike got banned..?
anyways
I perform for people of the age of 14-20... around?
with the few 30-40s here and there. But most people are comfertable with what I do.
Alright
I know what I am or will get.
I will get Mellos thing as it looks killer
and when Sperrys thing comes out, I am getting that as well. Fits me more of a non-stage trick as I dont really like Eric James version.
Thanks for all your help guys.

If you followed the link I posted to the review of Instinct, you would see this quote as part of it:

"Don't like the nail? Don't use it; anything that will fit underneath the styrofoam cup can be used -- the composition of the "load" doesn't affect the working whatsoever. The cups are not marked by the you or the spectator or any "stooging"."

I dont believe many other effects of this nature can say that.
